- 2009 (permanent gallery): World Cultures Gallery in the Great North Museum–Hancock, Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Lead curator in the development of this gallery, showcasing the museum’s collections from across the world, including Africa, Asia, the Americas, and the Islands of the Pacific. The gallery formed part of the complete reorganization of the museum.
- 2007 (permanent gallery): Explorers' gallery in Torquay Museum. Lead curator in developing this gallery, showcasing the museum’s world cultures collections, with particular strengths in East Asian, Pacific and African collections.
- 2007 (special exhibition): 'Human Cargo – the Transatlantic Slave Trade, its Abolition and Contemporary Legacies in Plymouth & Devon', at Plymouth City Museum & Art Gallery to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the abolition of British involvement in the transatlantic slave trade. Co-curated this exhibition with Zoë Shearman. (See also Cargo in Publications & Papers)
- 2007 (special exhibition): 'Breaking the Chains', at the British Empire & Commonwealth Museum (now closed), Bristol, examining the history of the transatlantic slave trade and resistance to it, commemorating the 200th anniversary of the abolition of British involvement in the transatlantic slave trade. Curated the West African section.
- 2004 (special exhibition): 'Second Skin – Everyday and sacred uses of bark worldwide', at Royal Albert Memorial Museum & Art Gallery, Exeter, highlighting the museum’s outstanding collection of barkcloth and bark objects from the Pacific Islands, Africa and the Americas. - 1999 (permanent gallery): World Cultures Galleries at Royal Albert Memorial Museum & Art Gallery, Exeter. Lead curator for these Heritage Lottery Fund-financed galleries, presenting items from the Americas, Asia, Africa, the Islands of the Pacific and Australia - all part of the ethnography collections, designated as of national significance.
